I was finally able to see one of my childhood musical idols live tonight and actually meet him! Brian McKnight is truly a talented singer, songwriter & producer. His set was so dope! He was funny, he sang his ass off and he had all the ladies melting! 2 things I noticed me & Brian McKnight had in common…we both sing & we both rock the faux hawk! Now if only I was 6’5″…LOL

I was walking thru the enormous Fry’s Electronics store near my place to cop a new pair of headphones and came across these.

Vinyl records.

I was so tempted to buy them just cause they look super ill but don’t even have a record player! I don’t know. Maybe. I’m a music collector. I’m not a huge fan of all the digital stuff. I like having a physical copy of the music I buy to stare at for hours and read the credits & thank yous. Please don’t die yet CD!!

What’s good e’erybody! Happy Father’s Day to all you Dad’s out there. Here’s a cover of the late but great, Luther Vandross’ “Dance With My Father.” This is such a touching song and it’s one of MY dad’s favorites. Coming from a Filipino-American family, we don’t say it much but I love you Dad!

So I’ve been working on a side project for the last few months. For those who don’t know, I’ve teamed up with a dope rapper who goes by the name, C.G., and together we have created a Hip-Hop/RnB duo called Swaré. We released our first single on iTunes titled “Beautiful Way” which has received rave reviews at this years ASCAP “I Create Music” Expo in Los Angeles, CA.
